After watching the sunrise at Uluru I went for a drive round the rock and noticed these low clouds over Kata Tjuta – it’s about a 50km drive from where I was out to viewing platform but I took a chance the clouds wouldn’t burn-off too quickly and drove out.

Happily they were still there when I arrived and grabbed this shot. If you are visiting Uluru and have some time during the day this Kata Tjuta viewing platform is a nice spot to sit and watch the landscape for a while (and watch the tour groups come and go).
