Continuing to look back to this time last year again on the Milford Track and a storm that would stick around for days and ended up stranding some of us on it at Mintaro Hut for 4 days and 3 nights with crazy raging torrents crossing the track and water over head height at various points along the track.

We were short on food and cabin fever did set in, but I was lucky I was stranded on the track! Others never made it on as DOC cancelled those due to start for a couple of days. I was lucky as I got to see this amazing scenery with stunning waterfalls falling into the valley from both sides.

If it hadn’t rained so much – I would have missed that experience!
